This blog was established to analyze the development of hip-hop music from its birth in the nineties all the way to how it is recognized and perceived today in our modern age. Our mission is to discover why hip-hop music has such a negative connotation attached to it, and how the influence of hip-hop has dramatically shifted in our society.

As a team, we would like to give a fair and honest criticism of the genre, and we encourage the individual readers to make their own conclusions as to what the music means to them personally. Each writer in this blog will have their own opinion, and we hope to be unique in our criticism by covering all angles on this topic as best as we possibly can.
